Musical Genres....

What musical genre are you most into?

I know everyone nowadays has a broad taste but everyone leans towards one genre more than others.

I gotta say I'm definately a Pop Princess. I love Britney, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, but I definately lean more to the rock side of pop with like Panic, Green Day, Paramore, Evanescence. So yeah I'm like Pop/Poprock!

I'd say I'm a rock/alternative/emo/goth chick music wise, and I guess we can throw in just a hint of pop as well. It's not my favorite genre, but I do enjoy a poppy song every now and then.
Favorite band is Evanescence. Also enjoy bands like Within Temptation, Muse, MCR, Paramore, and so on.
Oh, and power ballads. I love those, like when they really pull at the heartstrings!

As long as it sounds good, I'll probably listen. There isn't anything I really hate. I lean away from Country the most... but I'll listen to something here and there from that genre. I guess I'm definitely more into rock than anything though. All kinds new, metal, classic, alternative...

My favorite genre is metal for sure, I can't hardly stand to anything else apart this. Though I do also like rock/classic/celtic/medieval/new age music.

Inside it I almost like all the sub-genres, like gothic/doom, progressive, trash, death, nu-metal, heavy, alternative .. etc. But my favorite so far is symphonic metal (best band out of it is EPICA for sure ).
And yeah... I'm a metal head, and besides EPICA, Slipknot is my favorite band out of this genre.

taylor swift, miley, demi, jonas, and whatevers on the radio. i kind of like rap/hip hop but
i lean more towards rock or pop music.

You know, I do love most musical genres, but it really fucking bugs me when people start making digs at my tastes.

I don't like people screaming in my ear (There are very few screamo-ish songs I actually like) and I do like some Rap/R&B it's just not even close to my favorite genre.

I don't know how many times I've been called "Pop Trash" cause I love Lady GaGa and KPerry and The Saturdays and just pure dirty pop! And it's not fair. And it's like if you look around today, the main and most popular genre is rock. Panic, FOB, My chem, Green Day, Ev, Slipknot and all those bands who have like one hit wonders and stuff. Yet those folk are the ones who complain most about prejudicing, while doing MOST of the prejudicing..... and there I just invented a new word. I'll go put it in my "Pop Trash" dictionary!

I have yet to find a genre where I don't like any songs. Keeping all options open allow me enjoy a wider spectrum.

I think the only genre I can say I don't paricularly like is Classical. I mean I get that its good n stuff but it just bores the crap out of me. I'm definately a lyrics whore!

Well, I've often been described as having varied and eccentric tastes in music, where I can like heavy metal, to classical, and almost everything in between.
But I must admit that I hate country, with a burning passion. I'm sorry country fans... but I can't take it.
And Rap, I can't stand that either. *shudder* I think I loathe it more than country.
And pop isn't my favorite either, but I have to admit that it's addictive, and fun, thereby making it alright music.

But I am more of a fan of artists like Emilie Autumn, Evanescence, Epica, After Forever, Old Nightwish... and bands similar to those musically.

Btw: Mozart's Lacrimosa is badass, regardless of anyone's opinions!
