Photoshop Challenge Rules (Updated 14/8/09)

User Agreement
It is every member’s responsibility to read, understand and comply with all posted rules. If you do not agree to these rules,

you will not be permitted to use the board. If you break any of the rules displinary action may be taken in the form of

warnings, disqualification from challenges and in extreme cases or frequent acts of rule breaking, banning from the forum.

Photoshop Resources & Questions
Please find links to tutorials and resources In the Photoshop Section of the forums. Please do not post questions in challenge threads or ideas threads.

Software
The term "photoshop" is used loosely and just a general term for Photo editing. The use of any photo editing software including, but not limited to, Paintshop Pro, Gimp, Photofilter, Animation shop, Imageready, any online editing programmes is allowed. DO not feel you only have to use photoshop to enter.

Posting
This is an English speaking board, please post only in English.

Lolspeak, as funny as it is, is not understood by everyone, so please keep Lolspeak to a minimum, though it is allowed on occasion in this board.

Members are allowed to post everywhere except The Portal. The Portal is for forum news, rules and Mod/Judge updates. Only Mods and Admins are permitted to post in this area.

Please try to avoid double posting

Mods have the right to move/edit/delete posts. Please be aware that if they have done this, they have done it with a reason.

Please contact the mod of the category the post was removed in, or one of the admins if you disagree with any desicion or would like a reason for why your post was moved/removed/edited.

Any member is free to post a new thread in the General and the Photoshop categories. However only mods, or judges who have been asked to post new challenges should post threads in the challenge categories.

Please do NOT post pointless/duplicate threads. They WILL be deleted.

Acts of knowingly causing drama within threads whether it be based on the topic itself or other matters will not be tolerated.

Mods and admins will not, repeat NOT toletare the following behgaviour, whether it is aimed at a mod, admin or other member;
- Racism
- Sexism
- Threats of violence
- Religious slurs
- Derogitory terms
- Homophobic language
- Rudeness
- Insults
- Personal attacks
- Disrespect

Use intellegence in your posts. There IS a difference between personal attacks and constructive critisism and I trust the mods enough that they will know which is which.

We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice. We also reserve the right to edit posts and remove unsuitable material, including offensive material.

Posting of anyone’s private information, member or not, is prohibited.

If any of these rules have been broken, pm a mod or admin with a link to the post.


General Rules
Although this forum is not a place to showcase your work. However If you so wish please post your work in The Gallery. One thread is allowed per person for ALL works. Any duplicate threads will be merged.

If you have any suggestions, PM them to the appropriate category moderator or post them in the appropriate thread designated in your category.

Please do not make posts or threads in which you are discussing self harm of any sort.

Hacking, including, but not limited to, hacking into or disabling other member or moderator accounts is prohibited.

Please do not ask to become a moderator. Moderating vacancies will be announced.

Management of this board reserves the right to amend and/or implement new rules at anytime. Your continued access to or use of the message boards after any such change to these rules shall constitute your consent to such change.

Cursing is not censored (except in usernames), but please do not swear exessively


Disiplinary Action
Moderators of this message board reserve the right to remove any content posted by members, or to suspend or ban any member at anytime or for any reason in accordance with these rules and in their sole discretion.

All correspondence with board moderators should include your username, email address, and detailed explanation of the problem encountered.

If you are found to have multiple accounts, all your accounts will be banned.

Banned members are not allowed to sign up for new accounts, and should this be discovered it will again lead to banning. If you suspect a banned member of having a new account, you should always contact an admin.

Posting on the behalf of banned members are forbidden.

If it is discovered you are posting entries on behalf of banned members, it will result in a suspension

Sigs & Avs
Avatar rules: Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width cannot exceed 150 pixels, the height cannot exceed 200 pixels, and the file size cannot be higher than 64 KB

Sig Rules: The only rule is that it cannot exceed 500 characters.


This site has members of all ages and all are expected to conduct themselves in a mature and responsible manner.
Members are to respect the opinions of others and refrain from attacking another person for expressing their opinions.

Name-calling, personal attacks and harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. As previously stated, moderators of this message board reserve the right to remove any content posted by members, or to suspend or ban any member at anytime or for any reason in accordance with these rules and in their sole discretion.
If you feel you, or any other member, has been attacked or harassed, please contact a moderator immediately.
